Our approach
Each federal mitigation program has its own priorities, match requirements, and timelines. We match projects to the program where they compete best, manage the application against the notice of funding opportunity, and coordinate with the state applicant so nothing is missed between the sub-applicant and FEMA.
Programs
The sources we work with.
- Hazard Mitigation Grant Program: Post-disaster HMGP applications, including advance assistance and 5 percent initiative projects.
- Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities: Competitive BRIC applications aligned to national and state priorities.
- Flood Mitigation Assistance: FMA applications for repetitive loss and flood-prone properties.
- CDBG-MIT and other sources: HUD mitigation funding and state programs where they fit.
Application support
From funding notice to award.
- Program matching: Analysis of which program each project competes best in, with match and timeline implications.
- Application development: Complete sub-applications, including scope, budget, BCA, and environmental documentation.
- State applicant coordination: Coordination with the state hazard mitigation officer through review and submission.
- Post-award support: Requests for information, scope changes, and compliance through project closeout.
Why High Street?
High Street practitioners have administered these programs at FEMA and applied for them as local governments. We know what the reviewer needs to see and how the state will score it.
