Our approach
Generic training does not change what people do on the day. We build courses on your plans, your facilities, and your partners, deliver them in the format that fits your workforce, and tie each course to the exercise that will test it.
Course areas
From foundational to position-specific.
- Incident command and NIMS: ICS and NIMS training that meets federal requirements and prepares staff for the positions they will hold.
- Plan-specific training: Courses that teach your emergency operations plan, annexes, and EOC procedures to the people who will execute them.
- Position and role training: EOC section and position training, shelter operations, public information, and other role-based courses.
- Hazard-specific topics: Severe weather, flooding, hazardous materials, active threat, and other hazards your risk assessment ranks highest.
Delivery options
Matched to the audience and the schedule.
- Instructor-led: Classroom delivery by practitioners, on site or at a regional venue.
- Virtual instructor-led: Live online delivery for distributed workforces and partners.
- Train-the-trainer: Course materials and instructor preparation so your staff can sustain the program.
- eLearning: Self-paced courses developed with Alyo Studio and hosted on your learning management system or ours.
Why High Street?
High Street instructors are emergency management practitioners first, and our instructional designers build to the ADDIE model. We delivered Beehive training to councils of government across North Carolina and build eLearning with Alyo Studio, our own course development platform.
